Getting to Dingwall - By Train, Bus or Air!
Travelling by Air
With Inverness being only 11 miles away, flying to the North of Scotland is a viable option for those who live further afield.
There are many daily scheduled flights from Inverness Airport, including flights to and from the Western Isles, Edinburgh, London (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton), Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Dusseldorf (Germany), Jersey, Manchester, Nottingham East Midlands & Southampton.
From here, regular buses and coaches run to Dingwall, usually at half-hourly intervals from Inverness Bus Station.
By Road
Dingwall links very well with the A9, which runs South from Tore (halfway between Dingwall & Inverness) to Edinburgh and Glasgow. This is the route major buses take, including Citylink and Megabus, who run frequent daily services from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling and Dundee. Again from their terminus at Inverness, connecting buses are usually well co-ordinated to Dingwall from Inverness Bus Station.
By Rail
Dingwall has it's own Railway Station with regular departures for Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh. From Inverness, there are regular services which run for Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Aberdeen also down to London Kings Cross on the overnight sleeper service. The services usually run in sync so people can travel further north, but please do check the times!
